5-Day Course:

This course is designed for individuals who already hold a Close Protection SIA license and need to upskill to renew their license. It also includes training for First Aid at Work.

• Understand how to keep vulnerable people safe
• Understand terror threats and the role of the security operative in the event of a threat
• Know how to safeguard the public from incidents of spiking
• Know the implications and risks associated with physical interventions and their use
• Know how to reduce the risks associated with physical intervention
• Be able to use non-pain compliant standing, holding and escorting techniques safely
• Understand the necessity for narrowing the concentric layers of protection when managing an immediate threat to the principal
• Be able to protect the principal from assault
• Know how to apply physical intervention skills in a justifiable, ethical and professional manner
