Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) teaches the vital and necessary skills that can help colleagues and customers in the event of an accident or sudden illness and can literally save lives. FAW has been written for learners wishing to become first aiders in their place of work and covers the vital skills necessary to provide prompt and effective first aid.

Topics Include:

• Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
• How to assess an incident
• Recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness
• First aid skills in CPR and use of an AED
• Assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis
